Purple Hybrid Electric Supercar Looks Awesome, Zooms Round Corners [VIDEO]

The Kepler Motion hybrid electric supercar has blossomed way beyond the concept stage, now in full-throated prototype form. And its makers have snapped numerous pictures and video of it roaring through the hills of California.

The 800hp road rocket has a 3.5 L Ford V-6 engine under the hood, which drives the rear wheels with its awe-inspiring 550hp. Driving each of the front wheels are two seriously powerful electric motors, giving this purple monster plenty of torque that will certainly result in neck-straining acceleration.

You'll see immediately this is no namby-pamby Prius, making a whiny high-pitched hum as it strains to accelerate. No sir, this Kepler Motion lets out an angry and satisfying roar as its V-6 pops into EcoBoost, assisted by both of those instantly-responding electric motors.

Don't take our word for it -- take a look at this quartet of dazzling videos that will remove all doubt that the Kepler Motion actually exists.

Kepler Motors isn't saying how much well-heeled auto aficionados will have to pay for this beauty, nor when it might be available for sale. But from the looks of it, it seems ready to go.
