Kevin Rose, the mind behind former Internet powerhouse Digg, will scale back his time with Google Ventures to pursue a new startup.
Rose's new company is called North Technologies, and details are still scarce. The company will be in the "consumer Internet space," according to Re/code, which along with TechCrunch broke the news of Rose's move.

Rose is one of the most well-known entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley, having started a variety of other companies in addition to Digg. In 2012, Google acqui-hired Rose and some of the team behind his most recent startup, Milk.
huge news for me today, I'm back in the game!: http://t.co/7mJy7vx8Cg & http://t.co/vLAgD8HMsZ— Kevin Rose (@kevinrose) August 15, 2014
At Google, Rose first worked on the company's social network, Google+, before moving on to Google Ventures, where he held the title of partner.
Rose first came to prominence as founder of Digg, a website that let people vote on links. The site grew rapidly but a redesign caused it to lose popularity almost as fast.
Like Milk, North Technologies will reportedly focus on churning out apps at a rate of three to four per year.
