The humble and iconic paper bucket of chicken is being remade for the digital age.

KFC is taking its chicken bucket technology to a whole new level that suits the social media age of selfies and instant gratification.

The fast food giant is celebrating its 60th anniversary in Canada with a special edition container that doubles as a bluetooth photo printer. The inexplicable gadget seems to be currently in very short supply, but the creators told Adweek that they may consider handing out a limited number to the public.

It's a dream come true for anyone who has ever dreamt of scrapbooking while gorging on greasy drumsticks, though smudge marks may present a problem. KFC bills it as a way to capture the family memories you make while sharing its chicken.

This isn't the first time the poultry purveyor has tried its hand at high-tech stunts. Earlier this year, the company combined a meal tray with a bluetooth keyboard so you can type without getting your phone greasy.

All that's left is a set of speakers in a soda cup, and maybe a box of chicken wings that's also a wi-fi hub, and you could turn a 10-piece feast into a full workspace.
