Kentucky Fried Chicken wants to make sure you don't get your phone all greasy while you're eating.
The fast food chain's Tray Typers are Bluetooth keyboards installed into food trays, which sync with customers' smartphones and tablets. The campaign only ran for a week in restaurants in Germany; KFC handed one out with each order during the opening week of new restaurants. Sadly, though, you won't be seeing them in U.S. locations.
The wireless, paper-thin Tray Typer is resistant to liquids and grease, so soda or and ketchup skills didn't pose any problems. The keyboards were disposable, but could also be reused and recharged via USB.
The Tray Typer was so popular among customers, they were all taken home, according to Serviceplan, the advertising agency behind the campaign.
