'Kick-Ass' Gets a Spectacular 8-Bit Makeover

Grab your old-school gaming consoles, Kick-Ass has gone from silver screen to 8-bit.

Posted to YouTube channel CineFix, the above video shows major fighting scenes and plot developments from the superhero film in 8-bit style. Kick-Ass, Hit-Girl, Big Daddy and Red Mist have all been given a vintage-graphics makeover.

From the very first scene in which Dave Lizewski (a.k.a. Kick-Ass) puts on his green bodysuit, all the way to the explosive end, it's a perfect two-minute refresher for fans. What's more, it arrives just in time for the premiere of Kick-Ass 2, which hits theaters on Aug. 16.
