Anyone who has biked on a road knows the perils they face. Whether it's a car changing lanes or turning onto a side street, bikers rely on visibility -- flashing lights, florescent vests -- to make sure they are seen by motorists. Blaze, a Kickstarter project, hopes to heighten cyclists' visibility with a combination laser pointer and front-facing strobe light.

The UK-based team designed the device to mount onto your handlebars. From there it projects a green laser of a bicyclist farther ahead of the bicycle. In doing so, the presence of the biker is taken to the path a few feet ahead of where they're traveling. If a driver can't see a rider in their blindspot, drivers will see the laser show projected on the ground in the cyclist's path.

The group has raised $25,580 on their Kickstarter page of their $40,107 goal with 23 days left to go. Watch the video above to learn more about the project and let us know what safety advice you have for bikers.
