Look kids, it's 1860!

The Fine Bros. sat down with a gaggle of precocious children of the 21st century to teach them about typewriters for the YouTube channel's "Kids React" series. But apparently movies and great-grandmas have done a great job on typewriter-publicity, because most of the kids already knew what these ancient machines were.

But even though they recognized typewriters, they didn't appear to appreciate all the elbow-grease that once went into drafting correspondence using the machines.

When asked how one kid felt for people who didn't have access to modern technology, she said, "I feel very sad. They can't FaceTime..."

That basically sums up the woes of the 19th century.
