Thanks to the boy wonder podcaster AJ Hopkins, we've gotten a chance to hear a firsthand review of KidZui, the Internet browser built for kids and their safety. Today, the browser is available for free to parents who would like a pretty safe way to protect their kids while surfing the web.

KidZui does so by providing an entire browser within which children can experience the Internet, keeping them safely within the realm of approved content. There are over 600,000 kid-friendly websites, videos and images that can be accessed through KidZui and all content has been reviewed and approved by trained (and compensated) parents and teachers.

While the new free option should be attractive to a lot of users out there, perhaps especially adults who may not have young children of their own but would like to add the browser to their computer for visiting children, there is still a premium plan for parents. It's relatively cheap at just under $5.00 per month, and it includes additional data like reports on what children have been surfing and searching within the KidZui browser, and deeper control over the sites that have been approved for use with KidZui.

You can download AJ's original review here (mp3).
