Jimmy Kimmel calls out Donald Trump for 'un-American' discrimination

It looks like the first late-night host to truly take Donald Trump to task is... Jimmy Kimmel?

Yup. Viewers who were disappointed by the way Stephen Colbert shied away from really digging into Donald Trump when he welcomed the GOP candidate in September may be pleased to see how Kimmel interacted with the real estate mogul on his own show Wednesday night.

Colbert gleefully skewered right-wing politics and politicians for years on his old Comedy Central show, The Colbert Report. It's Kimmel, though, who actually took on Trump during their conversation, calling out the way Trump has spoken about Muslims and Mexicans. The money quote: "Isn’t it un-American and wrong to discriminate against people based on their religion?"

Trump, for the record, responded that his xenophobia has been met with cheers by his would-be constituents: "I've had so many people call me and say thank you."
