Cricketer-turned-politician Kirti Azad is having quite a week. On Sunday, he held a press conference making charges of corruption in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), when it was headed by India's current finance minister Arun Jaitley. Subsequently, Azad took to Twitter to dare Jaitley to sue him and stated that he was not afraid of anyone despite threats to his life.

Soon after his tweet went viral, Azad tweeted again that his account had been hacked and that he had not written the earlier tweets.

' I was visited at home by so many agencies to take precaution against threat to my life. Dear @arunjaitley darta nahin hoon napunsako se

— Kirti Azad (@KirtiAzadMP) December 21, 2015

My A/C is hacked statement on @arunjaitley as napunsak is not my tweet

In his press conference on Sunday, Azad had released a video by Wikileaks4India which argued that the 14 companies contracted to work for the repair of the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium by the DDCA did not exist. Azad has been raising the issue of corruption in the Delhi cricket body over the last nine years, and was joined by former cricketers Bishen Singh Bedi and Surinder Khanna.

' hello dear @arunjaitley hampar defemation file kar rahe ho na? Please karo na Don't take injunction, don't gag freedom of speech.

' Mera naam kyon hata diya @arunjaitley #Aap ne toh mere letters dikhae theey, mujhpar karo na case, registered post se maine bheje theey

Azad is also a member of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party to which Jaitley belongs, but the party has not taken any action against him yet. A week ago, the Central Bureau of Investigation had searched Delhi chief minister and rival Aam Aadmi Party member Arvind Kejriwal's office, which Kejriwal said was linked to a file relating to the DDCA issue. Jaitley has filed a defamation case against Kejriwal and other Aam Aadmi Party members for these allegations.
