Boxing Brothers Swept Up in Ukraine Revolutionary Fervor

Ukrainian opposition leader Vitali Klitschko, and his brother Wladimir, who together happen to hold all of the World Heavyweight boxing championship titles, seem to be enjoying the revolutionary fervor sweeping Kiev these days.

On Sunday, Vitali Klitschko, who has announced his intention to challenge President Viktor Yanukovich in the 2015 election, sought to calm the emotions of protesters after a day of violent clashes with police.

The brothers on Wednesday updated their joint Twitter account with photos from the streets of Kiev.

Here’s Wladimir and Vitali posing with protesters.

And here’s a selfie from Wladimir as he stands near a police barricade.

(In case anyone was wondering, the brothers have promised their mother that they would never fight each other.)
