As part of the deal, Funny Or Die will be the exclusive comedy publisher providing Klout Perks. The companies will combine talents -- web video production, brand relationships and online reach -- to produce branded campaigns targeted at the most influential audiences on the web.
Klout users with high influence scores will earn first-access to Funny Or Die content previews, products, exclusive events and experiences. Scores now factor in a user's Foursquare, Instagram, Tumblr and Flickr activities
The companies hope the Klout Perks Funny Or Die program will be a win for both brand advertisers and web video lovers. "Funny Or Die has been in the forefront of social media from the beginning and partnering with Klout is another important step to staying ahead of the curve,” Dick Glover, CEO of Funny Or Die says. “We will now be able to provide even more exclusive value to our content providers, users and advertisers."
