Kobe Bryant Tweets Cringe-Inducing Surgery Pic

Kobe Bryant either just proved he's awesome at social media, committed an egregious overshare or pulled off an All-Star troll move.

In fact, he may have done all three in one photo.

First, here's the background. Bryant's NBA season ended early when he suffered a ruptured achilles in April. He underwent surgery for the injury on April 14; that's a month ago Tuesday.

So, to commemorate the operation's month-iversary, what did Bryant do? Well, he posted a pretty graphic shot of the photo to Instagram, then tweeted it out to his 2.5 million Twitter followers.

Be warned, it may make you squeamish. So first, here's the tweet, while you consider whether or not to continue scrolling down:

Assuming you've properly steeled yourself now, here's the photo in question:

A few quick thoughts: First, it's actually interesting to get such an inside (so to speak) look at the types of things sports stars go through to maintain their physical abilities. Second, this is disgusting. Third, it's kind of awesome.
