Will Kristen Stewart's characters ever stop hanging with the "wrong" crowd?

First it's sparkly vampires, then Beat-Generation ne'er-do-wells, a bunch of seriously messed-up punk rocker chicks, that Huntsman guy who was sent to kill her ... and now it's a shady prisoner at Guantanamo Bay.

Actually, don't call him a prisoner -- he's a "detainee," as Stewart's commanding officer sternly tells her in this first trailer for Camp X-Ray, the drama that IFC Films picked up out of Sundance -- and he might not be anything approaching shady.

Stewart plays newbie Gitmo guard Pvt. Amy Cole who, against orders, befriends one of the detainees (played by A Separation star Peyman Moaadi) -- a kinship that has her questioning the nature of the infamous brig.

Camp X-Ray premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and opens in the U.S. on Oct. 17.
