Iraqi city of Sinjar is liberated from the Islamic State, Kurdish forces say

Kurdish military forces backed by US-led coalition airstrikes have liberated the Iraqi city of Sinjar from the Islamic State. ISIS fighters had been in control of the city for about one year.
