The 45th annual L.A. Pride Festival took place this weekend, and plenty of attendees shared their experiences online with colorful photos.

Sunday's parade, held along Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, was filled with performers, floats and representatives of non-profit organizations who came out to celebrate LGBT communities.

The event, which reportedly attracted around 400,000 prideful attendees, was also an opportunity to promote social good and political action. During the parade, organizers held a moment of silence at 12 p.m. PT to honor members of the LGBT community "who are no longer with us, or cannot be here today." Metropolitan Community Church founder Rev. Troy Perry and transgender teen activist Zoey were the grand marshals.
