LOS ANGELES -- Fresh off performing at the Grammys and the Stevie Wonder tribute concert, Lady Gaga has been tapped to perform at the 87th Academy Awards.
All we know is she'll deliver a "special tribute performance" on Feb. 22. Could it be for the Oscars' annual in memoriam segment? Or to honor a specific person?
Gaga, who is one of only two female artist this decade with three No. 1 albums (Taylor Swift being the other), may glam it up like she did with Tony Bennett at Sunday's Grammys.
The 28-year-old entertainer is the latest in a string of recently announced Oscar performers, including Anna Kendrick, Jack Black, Adam Levine, John Legend and Common.
Ceremony producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced Gaga's news Thursday, tweeting a few missives and a photo.
