The NFL told the Associated Press on Tuesday that the Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominee, who is also set to perform a tribute to David Bowie at the Grammys on Feb. 15, will sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" ahead of kickoff. Oscar-winning actress Marlee Matlin will simultaneously perform the anthem in American Sign Language.
Later on, Beyonce and Bruno Mars are set to join Coldplay for the halftime show.
Gaga joins the list of many high-profile national anthem performers including Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, Diana Ross, and, of course, Whitney Houston, who still wears the crown.
