Everyone looks for different things in their dream home. Some pine for indoor jacuzzi tubs, while others fantasize about a stainless steel kitchen paradise.
And some just want to live in a house, inhabited by a fictional serial killer.
Scott and Barbara Lloyd of Perryopolis, Pennsylvania currently live in the house featured in the 1991 Academy-award winning film, "The Silence of the Lambs". After months of struggling to find a buyer on the market, the couple had to drop the house's asking price from $300,000 to $250,000.
It appears that people don't want to move into Buffalo Bill's home -- the fictional character responsible for murdering young people, then trying on their skins. But for the record, the dungeon where Bill committed his crimes was filmed on a separate soundstage.
Aside from the house's infamy, the couple also added that the bathroom situation doesn't help matters -- there's just one toilet in a house of four bedrooms. The Lloyd's house was built in 1910 and is located almost an hour south of Pittsburgh, in a tiny sleepy village.
"The fact that a home gets a ton of publicity doesn't necessarily add up to a quick sale," Erik Gunther, a senior editor at Realtor.com, told The Pittsburgh Tribune Review.
