Even dolls struggle with self esteem -- especially around beach season.

Lammily, the "realistic" alternative fashion doll to Barbie, takes off in her first adventure from creator Nickolay Lamm. Lammily finds herself in the same awkward position as many young girls today, struggling with unattainable beauty standards in her environment and in the media. Can't a doll just go to the beach?

"I try to show that the seemingly perfect people we see on TV and online is like a mirage," Lamm told Mashable. The video, he said, was inspired in part by model Cameron Russell's TED Talk about beauty standards and the modeling industry.

Of course, doll world knows the perfect solution to feeling good about yourself: dance party.
