Are Landline Phones Becoming an Endangered Species?

The declining relevance of landline phones might not be too surprising for the connected generation, but only 10 years ago, 92.7% of U.S. households had a working landline phone.

Now, that number has dropped to 58.1% of U.S. households, while the the percentage of cellphone-only households has risen from 5% to 39.4%, according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
