Case in point, the Los Angeles Police Department has just released surveillance video from a break-in that took place at Lindsay Lohan's Hollywood Hills home on Sunday morning. Their method of conveyance — YouTube.

The video was posted to the LAPD's YouTube channel a few hours ago and shows three young adults, two females and one male, using scarves to cover themselves as they attempt to find a way into Lohan's home. While the faces of the not-so-master criminals are hard to make out, we certainly think the LAPD's online video approach ups the ante and increases the likelihood that someone will recognize the trio.

We're definitely impressed by the department's social media prowess and hope the YouTube surveillance video nets them three burglars. We've posted the video below in the hopes of getting the word out. See anyone you know?
