Lara Croft has explored tombs all across the world, but rarely have her adventures taken her to the mobile frontier.

That changes Thursday with the launch of Lara Croft Go, a mobile puzzle game. While it may share a main character with the Tomb Raider games, Lara Croft Go gets players to plan out Lara's moves to solve more than 75 different puzzles across five chapters.

The game shares many idea's with Square Enix's other successful mobile foray Hitman Go, which came out on mobile last year. While that game had players guiding Agent 47 through puzzling assassinations, Lara's foray takes her into tombs and temples. The turn-based gameplay is reminiscent of board games, with players having to think ahead as they move against enemies.

According to a developer diary released by Square Enix Montreal, the game is inspired by the earlier feel of the first Tomb Raider games, from how much they focused on exploration and problem solving to how much peril that Lara faces.

Lara Croft Go is out Thursday for Android [Google Play Store link, iOS App Store link] and Windows Phone [Windows Store link] for $4.99.
