15-year-old blogger Emily Trunko just received not one, but TWO book deals for her viral Tumblr blogs. Casual.
On Monday, Crown Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Random House Children’s Books, announced that it has picked up two of Trunko's Tumblr blogs for book deals: The Last Message Received and Dear My Blank.

Both Tumblr blogs were launched earlier this year. Dear My Blank is a curated collection of unsent letters, submitted by users. The blog instructs users, "If you want to write a letter, but not send it to it's intended recipient, write one out and submit it here."
The Last Message Received is a showcase of the last messages that users received from loved ones. Submission range from messages sent by ex-friends or ex-significant others to notes from deceased friends, significant others, and relatives.
“The emotions evoked by Emily Trunko’s Tumblrs are universally understood and felt,” says Emily Easton, Executive Editor of Crown Books for Young Readers. “We are excited to bring the Tumblr posts together into two unique book collections."
So just to clarify: A 15-year-old started two Tumblr blogs this year, both of which went viral, then received a pair of book deals before Christmas.
