Last.fm has created an application built on OpenSocial specifically for the creators of Ning networks. The Last.fm application will be a Gadget option that Ning admins can choose to include in their group homepages. Now individual members of the group have the option of adding the application to their personal profiles as well.

The Last.fm application is basic and easy to use. It displays top music artists, which can be clicked on to direct to their artist profile on Last.fm. You can edit the list to reflect your personal taste in music, and sync it with your own Last.fm account, which will pull your preferences from Last.fm.

As a matter of fact, it looks like you may be able to do this for any user on Last.fm, as all you need for syncing options is the Last.fm username. Additionally, you can listen to music via the application.
