Michele will play a character named Gertie, an empathetic truck stop waitress and single mother, who connects with Gemma (Katey Sagal) during a difficult time.
This season, the show will also see guest spots from Courtney Love, who will play a preschool teacher, and Marilyn Manson, whose role has not been revealed. Previously, they've cast the likes of Stephen King and David Hasselhoff.
