Start lining up friends to play Nintendo's next portable Legend of Zelda 3DS title with you.
The just-announced The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes mimics the same art style and top-down play we saw in 2013's 3DS title A Link Between Worlds. But while Zelda games are often a solo experience, this one is more fun with two friends, longtime Nintendo Game Director Eiji Aonuma said in a presentation at E3 on Tuesday.
"The past multiplayer games were more like a party game where people were competing to collect the most rupees," Aonuma said. "This time I wanted players to solve puzzles and go through dungeons together."
Players will be able to stack on top of each other in a three-person high "totem" to reach higher places and solve the game's classic environmental puzzles. If players aren't joined by two friends -- either online or local co-op -- they can still play the game with two supporting "doll characters" that you can switch between.
The game's director, Hiromasa Shikata (who also directed A Link Between Worlds), said this title adds a fashion element in which different styles of clothing will give players different abilities.
The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes is due out next year for the Nintendo 3DS.
