Rosario Dawson joins 'Lego Batman' as Batgirl

Darkness, no parents... and Rosario Dawson!

Dawson will is joining Will Arnett, Michael Cera, and Zach Galifianakis in Lego Batman, the Bat-family-centric followup to 2014's wildly successful and entertaining The Lego Movie. Arnett will return as Batman, with Cera as Robin and Galifianakis as the Joker. The Lego Movie's animation supervisor, Chris McKay, is directing the film.

Dawson, whose Batgirl character is also the daughter of police commissioner James Gordon (who has yet to be cast), is no stranger to comic book adaptations. She regularly guests on Netflix's Marvel's Daredevil and previously voiced another famous female superhero, Wonder Woman, in DC's Justice League: Throne of Atlantis.
