Doc Brown is the star of WB Games' latest trailer for Lego Dimensions, which looks poised to take on so-called "toys-to-life" games, such as Skylanders and Disney Infinity, when it arrives later this year. Much like its competitors, Lego Dimensions enables players to connect their virtual experience with real-life toys, thanks to the help of a portal Doc Brown builds in the trailer.
Watch it carefully, above, to get a hint of the diverse assortment of popular franchises that have some role or another in Lego Dimensions. There are brief glimpses of various DC Comics heroes and villains, The Wizard of Oz and The Lord of the Rings characters, even the Wild West setting from Back to the Future Part III.
