Rome and this Lego version of Princess Zelda's castle have one thing in common: neither was built in a day.

In fact, 19-year-old Joseph Zawada spent two and a half years building his replica of Hyrule Castle, which he said was inspired by the version in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. As Zawada told YouTube channel Behind the Brick, he wanted to honor his favorite entry in the classic game series.

Here's a comparison screenshot from the 2006 game, released for Wii and GameCube.

The Lego Hyrule Castle breaks down into 40 different large pieces, Zawada said in the interview, and it takes 2 cars to transport. Despite that, "it's still really solid." The most difficult pieces for him to build were the pointed, octagonal roofs, which aren't exactly a shape compatible with Lego bricks.
