Leaked Photos Reveal Possible New Lego Minecraft Series

The blocky aesthetics of Lego and Minecraft seem like a match made in Heaven, and the possible new series leaked by a Russian retailer prove just that.

Images of the sets were leaked Wednesday by Mir Kobikov, a chain of licensed Lego stores in Russian. According to the site, the sets are titled "Mine," "Dragon Edge," "Workbench," "First Night," "Farm," and "Cave" -- each listed as "Coming Soon."

The Lego Minecraft sets, first noticed by Gizmodo, recreate the blocky feel of the popular sandbox game, complete with the minifigure versions of Steve, a Creeper and a slew of pets and farm animals.

Lego did not immediately respond to our request for comment on the images, but have previously confirmed to Mashable that a new Minecraft playtheme will be coming later this fall. No official date on that release has been announced so far.

If the leaked sets are indeed officially Lego, this would be the second -- and far more detailed -- Lego Minecraft series to hit stores. The toy company released the first set in 2012.
