'The Lego Movie' directors mock Oscars as they pick up a Bafta

LONDON -- The directors of The Lego Movie seem to have gotten over their Oscar snub.

As they picked up the award for Best Animated Film during the Bafta ceremony at London's Royal Opera House on Sunday, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller dismissed the Academy Awards in favour of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.

"You are our favourite Academy by far," they told the audience. "You guys win the award for best academy."

"This is the end of the awards road for us, so we can say whatever we want. There's no one left to impress."

Miller expressed his admiration for the Bafta statuette, referring to it as a "Halloween mask for a one-eyed child," while Lord said the evening was "clearly the most fun I've had in an opera house."

On the red carpet, both were repeatedly asked about their feelings on The Lego Movie's Oscar snub for Best Animated Feature.

Clearly it didn't matter, though, as Lord ended up making his own award:
