It's a weird week in the world of corporate mascots. McDonald's released its new Happy Meal mascot on Monday, and most people found it a little too happy.
But erase McDonald's from your nightmares, because the Lemonhead candy brand just introduced a new mascot on Twitter. The creepy, smiling, lemon-headed child trumps any happy box or weird clown McDonald's could produce.

Lemonhead's parent company, the Ferrara Candy Co., told the Chicago Tribune that the packaging and mascot upgrade was meant to attract a younger audience.
Sounds reasonable, but it looks more like something else from our childhood.
Combining the McDonald's and Lemonhead mascots results in something a little more tolerable. A little.
