Over the weekend, Leonardo DiCaprio made a secret trip to see India's most famous heritage site, the Taj Mahal. The actor was visiting the country to shoot a documentary on climate change, and became the latest in a series of celebrities who have visited the 17th-century Mughal mausoleum. Here are some other political leaders, actors and celebrities who've been drawn to the monument of love over the years.

Mark Zuckerberg

The Facebook CEO visited the Taj Mahal during his India visit last week. He had this to say about the monument: "It is even more stunning than I expected. It's incredible what people can build -- and what love can motivate us to build."

Princess Diana

During an official visit to India with Prince Charles in 1992, Diana sat alone outside the Taj Mahal. The famous photograph came to symbolize the distance between the couple, especially after their separation a few months later. The seat is still known as Diana’s bench.

Prince Charles

Though he didn't accompany Diana on the 1992 trip, Charles had visited the monument of love in 1980, a year before his marriage.

American First lady Hillary Clinton visited the Taj Mahal with daughter Chelsea in March 1995. Five years later, Chelsea also accompanied her father, the then-US President Bill Clinton during his 2000 trip to south Asia.

Actress Julia Roberts came to the marble monument with her husband Daniel Moder and children in 2009, while shooting for Eat Pray Love in India.
