Take this as a reminder to always be nice to the intern, not only because they're people, but because they may be your boss one day.

For David Letterman's final run on The Late Show, he invited a star-studded cast to perform his popular "Top 10" skit. Celebs like Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jim Carrey let him have it in the final list, sharing what they've always wanted to say to the late-night star.

But it turns out, a 21-year-old intern wrote two of the jokes that made it into the list, Bill Scheft, a long-time employee of the show revealed via a lengthy blog post.

According to the post, Sheft said that intern Caroline Schaper wrote jokes for Bill Murray and Tina Fey.

According to her Twitter account, Schaper enjoyed her time at The Late Show. Mashable has reached out to her for additional comment.

David Letterman changed everything forever. Including my life. #ThanksDave— Caroline Schaper (@carolimeschaper) May 20, 2015

Scheft also added: "This 21-year-old has all the resume she needs going forward."

"I will be happy to help her in any way I can," he said.

So someone should just hire her already.
