While pollution is still a problem plaguing Earth's oceans, nature sometimes finds a way of prevailing over human influence.

Reddit user tellamgood posted a picture to Imgur of a lightbulb that washed up on the beach in Australia that had dozens gooseneck barnacles growing on it. The barnacles were also the home of a few crabs and other tiny life forms.

"It was all alive and it floated," said the user. Later, adding in a comment, "After the photo it was put back in the surf so hopefully they continue to dwell on their tiny ecosystem. Maybe the bulb had some cracks they could hang on to."

You just can't stop nature. But recycling is still a good option.
