Someone has finally come up with a way to fight off the bugs of the Empire — a lightsaber.
Caleb Kraft, senior editor of the tech blog Hack a Day, wrapped a toy lightsaber in pest-electrifying fine mesh and an electrical cord to transform the Jedi Knights' weapon of choice into a cold-blooded bug killer. (We'd imagine he also had to channel the force.) Unfortunately, the lightsaber won't light up like Luke Skywalker's.
Kraft says it only took him 20 minutes to build. The lightsaber can annihilate any pesky fly (clearly commissioned by Darth Vader) that gets in your way. Watch the video above to see how the lightsaber was built.
