UK singer Lily Allen regrets turning down a gig that would've earned her a Bitcoin fortune.
The offer to stream a performance live on Second Life came "about 5 years ago," and the payoff was "hundreds of thousands of bitcoins," Allen revealed in a tweet Sunday.

About 5 years ago someone asked me to stream a gig live on second life for hundreds of thousNds of bitcoins, "as if" I said. #idiot #idiot— Lily Allen (@lilyallen) January 5, 2014
While "hundreds of thousands" is quite a stretchy term, one hundred thousand bitcoins is today worth about $91,200,000, while 500.000 bitcoins are worth a whopping $456,000,000.
For comparison, Lily Allen is said to be worth more than £6 million ($9.83 million).
Though Allen's decision to turn down this offer sounds crazy today, five years ago one bitcoin was worth practically nothing, as there was no market or exchanges to sell it. The cryptocurrency's price has been extremely volatile in 2013, skyrocketing to $1,200 at one point before falling down to sub-$1000 range.
