What do you call an unmarried presidential candidate?

According to Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Illinois), that would be a "bro with no ho."

Kirk wasn't referring to just any bro when he made the terrible joke on Thursday. He was talking about South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, a fellow Republican who joked to the Daily Mail that he'd have a "rotating first lady" if elected.

Kirk's crack about Graham's predicament was caught on a live microphone at a Senate Appropriations Committee and published by the Huffington Post.

“I’ve been joking with Lindsey,” Kirk said. “Did you see that? He’s going to have a rotating first lady. He’s a bro with no ho."

Kirk said he regretted making the remark, according to Politico, but declined to comment further. An aide said the comment was a "joke between friends."

In an email to the Associated Press, a spokeswoman said “Senator Kirk was joking with his colleague and immediately apologized to anyone offended by his remark.”

While bachelor presidents are rare in American history, we're guessing such juvenile quips between two bros on Capitol Hill are not.
