LinkedIn, the social network for professionals, has launched their own corporate blog.

The purpose of the blog is to better tap into the LinkedIn community, and provide them a way to utilize the LinkedIn community more effectively. The corporate blog will be fully interactive for users, enabling them to use the blog as a sounding board for concerns they may have. Looks like LinkedIn is providing a central location for things such as comments and questions; a great way for LinkedIn to gather pertinent information about their members. Their blog will also be used for offering tips and tricks that users can employ.

As far as corporate blog culture goes, LinkedIn sees the benefits of joining in the trend. Similar to the Google forum's "Google Guy" the LinkedIn blog will be moderated by Mario Sundar, their "blog guy." He will act as a guide and an evangalist, and bring a human touch to the corporate blog. As the blog is moderated, LinkedIn will probably gain more value from the blog than the users. But unlike many other corporate blogs, you can leave a link in your comments and trackbacks as well.
