LinkedIn has added Skip Battle, the former CEO of Ask.com and a current board member of Netflix and Expedia.com, to its board of directors. Battle is the first independent director to join LinkedIn.
According to Reuters, the 66 year old former executive joined the LinkedIn board several weeks ago, but the addition is only being announced today.
The LinkedIn board now has five members: Battle, LinkedIn investors Mark Kvamme, David Sze, founder Reid Hoffman, and CEO Jeff Weiner.
The business social network has been growing rapidly over the last year, and some estimates place its worth at $1.3 billion or higher.
