During a live press conference at 11 a.m., New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said that two people, including the shooter, were dead. The other victim was the shooter's former co-worker. Nine more were wounded, but not fatally. The shooting took place at 9:03 A.M. in front of 10 West 33rd St.

LinkedIn occupies the entire 25th floor of the Empire State Building. The company signed a seven-year lease for the 31,000-square-foot space in May 2011, a spokesperson for LinkedIn confirmed. Approximately 175 employees are staffed there.
