TSA confiscated a lipstick stun gun in a carry-on bag at Chicago's Midway airport last week.

The Transportation Security Administration lists stun guns and shocking devices among the prohibited items for carry-on baggage. They are allowed in checked baggage, however.

"Stun guns are prohibited in carry-on bags, and artfully concealed items such as this one can lead to arrest," the TSA said in the comment on the post. They did not elaborate on whether or not the passenger carrying the lipstick stun gun was arrested.

In 2014, the administration confiscated a record number of firearms, though as this item demonstrates, guns are not the strangest things they find. One of the weirdest items of 2014 was a knife in a dish of enchiladas.
