Tim Ferriss, author of the New York Times Bestseller The Four Hour Work Week, has launched an initiative to improve literacy across the world. His project, LitLiberation, has launched in conjunction with DonorsChoose and RoomToRead.

The project is now looking to raise $1 million in 30 days, by leveraging online blogs and social networks. Individuals can sign up as a fundraiser and get others to contribute funds. In order to raise $1 million so quickly, Ferriss is holding a competition to get the ball rolling. The first 100 fundraisers to raise $10k get to attend a VIP party in San Francisco with top CEOs, bloggers and other notable techies.
