Little Girl Puts Whimsical Spin on Mom's Drawings

Like many parents, artist Mica Hendricks taught her daughter the importance of sharing. Proving she was paying attention, the 4-year-old showed interest in her mom's sketchpad -- more specifically, the pages on which she had already started drawing.

Though initially reluctant to take on an artistic partner, Hendricks loved her daughter's collaborations. So much, she created more heads for the child to add colorful, whimsical bodies.

When her daughter was done she would tie the piece together by adding some color with acrylic paint.

The resulting pieces are adorable hybrids of articulately-shaded faces, paired with stubby-limbed bodies -- the serious expressions are softened with grinning flowers.

Henricks is selling the drawings as prints through Society 6.
