Communicate.com is undergoing some big changes in 2008, including a complete re-branding of its company (pending shareholder approval later this year). The new name for Communicate is Live Current Media Inc. Aside from re-branding itself, there will be some other major changes going on with the media company as well. Live Current will in fact be turning many of its domain names, like Cricket.com and Perfume.com, into their own independent businesses.
[img src="" caption="" credit="" alt=""]But not before adding another domain to its collection of online destination sites. Live Current Media has also acquired Auctomatic for an undisclosed amount. Auctomatic is a Y combinator startup that's created a commerce framework used mostly by power eBay sellers for centralizing inventory (see previous coverage here). While Live Current Media's domains will still be operating under its larger umbrella, the intent is for each domain to push on down its own road for optimization purposes.
