LocalConnections is a new social network for connecting with those in your vicinity. In many ways, it's your standard socnet: upload a photo, enter your location and status and connect with others.
What it adds, however, is local search (find people, restaurants and items for sale in your area), plus forums for your town. It goes without saying that there are user reviews, and Google Maps integration to help you find your way around. There are comments, too, and messaging between users.
