LONDON -- Ever wondered what it would be like to ride on the back of an eagle like they do in Lord of the Rings?

Well today is your lucky day. A Bald Eagle with a 4K camera attached to its back was flown over Britain's capital recently as part of a promotion for the new Assassin's Creed game and the pictures are pretty impressive.

Obviously it's not quite the same as actually riding on an eagle, but sadly giant eagles don't exist outside of Middle Earth so this is probably the closest we'll ever get.

There's also some video footage captured in the air.

"Sidney is a Bald Eagle who is used to large crowds of people and was highly adaptable to a busy city environment," says falconry expert Chris O'Donnell in a press release.

"We developed a bespoke harness and fitting for the camera and spent months testing it for comfort and stability. We had good flying conditions, incredible launch points and the footage we captured was utterly remarkable.”
