The creators have also quashed rumors that lonelygirl15 is a Hollywood marketing campaign, or the lead up to a Blair Witch-style movie - the entire budget, they say, was $130 for the webcam. The story has also appeared in the NYTimes, on many of the major US TV stations and in the international press - including an interview on MTV today.
But now the hype moved up another notch with the news that Jessica Rose will appear with Jay Leno on the Tonight Show later today, alongside Julia Louise-Dreyfus, Jude Law and Bob Seger.
