Just call them the Queen Bees of DC.

Taylor Swift performed in DC Monday night, and of course she couldn't leave without bringing out a surprise guest. This time around it was none other than Lorde, who flew 19 hours to perform "Royals" with her BFF.

It's an ironic choice of song, seeing as Swift is the closest thing we have to a bona fide princess -- but we'll accept Lorde's adorable gesture and their gushy Instagram posts, because these two rule.

This also happened to be the show where Taylor's set broke, and she was stuck above the crowds on a crane. She handled things with poise, casual humor and song -- as she handles all potentially-traumatic events.
